Horse & tack consignments

Horse sales run the first Saturday of every month. Horses can be consigned online or day-of from 9 am–4 pm. Preview opens at 4 pm, and horses can be dropped by appointment ahead of the sale. Entry fees cover boarding for Saturday and Sunday.

Injured or starved horses are evaluated case by case. Ill or euthanasia-candidate animals will not be accepted. Commission rates align with the schedule below.

Drop-off directions

  • Upon entering the property, turn east (left) and follow the fence line for roughly 600 feet.
  • Turn right (south) and continue following the directional signs.
  • Horse consignments are taken at the back of the open livestock barn.

Tack, trailers, & physical goods

  • Continue straight (south) after entering the property.
  • Follow the driveway, which parallels Airport Road, for approximately 1/4 mile.
  • All tack, saddles, trailers, and other physical consignments are accepted inside the Red Auction Barn.

Livestock, birds, and misc goods

The Friday livestock auction sells farm birds, rabbits, goats, sheep, cattle, tools, and more (pigs are not accepted). Large livestock intake runs 9 am–6 pm, while caged animals are accepted until 5:45 pm.

Commission & boarding schedule

Commission rates

  • Horses: 13% commission + $25 entry (covers boarding through the day after the sale).
  • Sheep, goats, cattle, large livestock: 15% commission.
  • Caged/boxed animals (rabbits, birds): 25% commission.
  • Saddles (usable condition): 20% commission.
  • Horse tack & miscellaneous goods: 25% commission.
  • Trailers: 15% commission.

Daily boarding

  • Horses: $12/day — catalog entry covers auction day and the day after.
  • Small livestock: $5/day — waived if received and removed the same day.
  • Cattle: $12/day — waived if received and removed the same day.
  • Other animals: No boarding; must arrive and depart on auction day.

Horse consignor terms

  • Horse entry fee: $25, plus 13% commission on the sale price.
  • Declare reserves in advance; they may be lowered or removed but not increased.
  • No pass-out fee if a reserve is unmet. Rejecting a final bid when a reserve is met (or wasn’t set) results in the full commission being owed.
  • Submit copies of registration papers and the entry deposit before acceptance; originals must accompany the horse on sale day.
  • Out-of-state horses require a negative Coggins (within six months) and a current health certificate. In-state horses are strongly encouraged to have both.
  • All horses sell in catalog order unless the consignor is not ready; off-ring sales must be processed through the office.
  • Clean, high-resolution photos are mandatory for online promotion; auction staff selects final imagery.
  • Every horse must arrive with a halter or a $25 halter fee applies.
  • All horses must pass through the auction arena and retain their hip numbers while on site.
  • Consignors are paid after the buyer settles in full—typically the next business day, though payment may be held up to four business days if needed.

Catalog sale requirements

Special catalog sales carry additional marketing and scheduling expectations. Review the guidelines below before calling to reserve a slot.

  • Catalog fee: $100 per horse, plus 13% commission.
  • Reserves must be set ahead of time; they can be lowered or removed but not raised.
  • No pass-out fee applies to catalog horses.
  • Withdrawing a catalog horse for reasons other than infirmity incurs a $225 pullout fee (catalog fee is nonrefundable).
  • Catalog horses receive dedicated stalls; drop-off begins the Friday prior by appointment. Feed is provided; special diets must be supplied by the consignor.
  • Photos must meet auction standards to receive online promotion.
  • Each horse must have a halter; missing halters are billed $25.
  • Non-catalog horses sell after the catalog concludes.
  • Payment is issued once buyers finalize their purchases—typically the Wednesday after the sale.
