Finding the sale barn

We're located at 15012 S. Airport Road, Buckeye, AZ 85326. Airport Road is a dirt road, so keep an eye out for the auction sign as you approach. Follow these turn-by-turn directions:

  1. 1. From I-10, take the Jackrabbit Trail exit and proceed south.
  2. 2. Continue until you cross the Gila River.
  3. 3. At the stop sign after the bridge, turn right onto Elliot Road.
  4. 4. At the next stop sign, turn left onto Airport Road.
  5. 5. Follow Airport Road as it curves right and turns to dirt—watch for the auction sign.
  6. 6. Drive roughly one mile; the sale barn is on the left across from the dairy.

Payment & registration

All purchases are treated as cash transactions. To streamline your checkout, review the following guidelines before you arrive:

  • Auctions are cash-based, but we also accept debit cards (fee applies), Zelle (no fee), and PayPal transfers (fees depend on how they’re sent).
  • Confirm your bank transfer limits before arriving—every bank sets different daily thresholds.
  • Buyer numbers require a valid photo ID and a $100 cash deposit, refunded on auction night.
  • No personal checks are accepted.

Horse & tack auction preview

  • Held the first Saturday of every month.
  • Intake for horses and related equipment runs 9 am–4 pm; preview opens at 4 pm.
  • Sale order: tack & saddles, trailers and large goods, broke horses, then loose horses.
  • Outdoor riding areas are available for consignors to demonstrate horses.
  • Checkout same night, the following day 11 am–3 pm, or by appointment.

Livestock & bird auction overview

  • Takes place the Friday before the horse sale (often the first Friday of each month).
  • Doors open for preview at 4 pm; consignments accepted up to the start of the auction.
  • Sale order: farm goods and tools, caged animals, cattle, then small livestock.
  • We do not accept pigs. Many consignments arrive during the final hour.

All livestock should be paid for and removed the same day unless alternative arrangements are made. Boarding is available for certain animals—consult the commission and fee schedule for rates.

General buyer terms & conditions

The following policies mirror the current buyer agreement published on horseauction.info. Please review them before bidding.

  1. 1. Acceptable payment methods include cash, Zelle, PayPal transfer, and debit cards. Processing fees may apply to debit and some PayPal transfers. No checks accepted. All purchases must be paid in full the day of the sale.
  2. 2. Inspect horses thoroughly prior to bidding. All horses sell “as-is, where-is.” Guarantees are provided only by the owner or their agent; any dispute must be resolved directly with them.
  3. 3. Murphy’s Livestock Auction, its staff, and auctioneers are not responsible for errors or omissions in written or verbal representations.
  4. 4. Auctioneer announcements from the block supersede printed or previously announced information.
  5. 5. Buyers must register at the office, present a government-issued photo ID, and place a $100 cash deposit to receive a bidder number. Deposits are refundable on auction day.
  6. 6. Any guarantees expressed are the responsibility of the seller.
  7. 7. Remote bidding is occasionally available; personal attendance at preview is recommended to understand the process.
  8. 8. The auctioneer’s decision is final in the event of bidding disputes.
  9. 9. Once the auctioneer declares the sale, the buyer assumes full responsibility and risk for the horse.
  10. 10. Release slips are issued only after the purchase is paid in full.
  11. 11. Horses must be picked up on auction day or the following Sunday during posted hours. Horses left longer incur yardage fees. Alternate arrangements can be coordinated with the office.
  12. 12. All horses pass through the auction arena, and all transactions clear through the sales office. Attendees are responsible for their own safety around livestock. Items not covered follow standard auction-industry practice.
