Catalog Sale Reference

Catalog Consignor Terms & Conditions

Start the registration process by calling 602-556-3123. Review the guidelines below so you know what to expect regarding fees, documentation, and marketing deliverables for our special catalog sales.

  1. 1. Catalog fee: $100 per horse plus 13% commission on the final bid.
  2. 2. Reserves must be communicated in advance. Once set, they can be lowered or removed but not increased.
  3. 3. Horses appearing in the catalog do not incur a pass-out fee.
  4. 4. If a seller rejects the final bid after the reserve is met—or if no reserve was declared—the seller owes the auction house the full commission on that bid price.
  5. 5. Catalog entries marked as "registered" require the catalog fee and copies of registration papers in advance. Originals must accompany the horse on sale day.
  6. 6. Out-of-state horses require a negative Coggins test (within six months) and a current health certificate. In-state horses are strongly encouraged to provide the same documentation.
  7. 7. Horses sell in catalog order. If a consignor is not ready, their horse can be moved to the sale’s end.
  8. 8. Any private sale on the grounds must be processed through the office.
  9. 9. High-quality, clean photos are required for online promotion. Auction staff has final say on photo selection.
  10. 10. Once accepted, catalog horses are expected to attend. Withdrawing for reasons other than infirmity results in a $225 pullout fee (catalog fee remains nonrefundable). The assigned number cannot be reassigned to another horse.
  11. 11. Catalog horses receive their own stall. Drop-off begins the Friday prior by appointment. Standard feed is supplied; special feed must be provided by the consignor.
  12. 12. Every horse must arrive with a halter. A $25 halter charge applies if missing or removed before departure.
  13. 13. Non-catalog horses sell after the catalog concludes.
  14. 14. All horses must pass through the sales arena. Hip numbers and stall assignments are set by the auction house.
  15. 15. Attendees are responsible for their own safety. Exercise caution around livestock at all times.
  16. 16. Payment is released once the buyer has paid in full—typically the Wednesday following the sale.
